I own a Fuji F601Z (cache) digital camera. It works fine under OSX (USB flash storage), but when the camera is unmounted from OSX, it won't accept the flash card anymore.
It turns out that the camera doesn't seem to like a ".Trashes" folder in the top-level directory of it's storage (while for example the usual ".DS_store" files are no problem at all).
As I couldn't find a way to disable the creation of that folder when attaching the camera to the Mac, the current workaround is to create a ".Trashes" file in the top-level directory of the flash disk. It doesn't bother the camera, and OSX does not replace it with a folder.
Kludgy, but works.
